Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 23 June 2026
For patients and individual users. If you are a hospital, clinic, or healthcare provider evaluating or using The Right Hand as a partner, see our Enterprise Terms & Conditions instead.
1. Acceptance of Terms
This is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder, and does not require any physical or digital signature. By accessing or using the website, mobile application, or any related service offered by The Right Hand (“The Right Hand”, “we”, “us”, “our”), you (“User”, “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Nature of the Service
The Right Hand is a booking and appointment-management platform that connects patients with hospitals, clinics, and individual doctors (“Providers”) listed on the Platform. We act solely as a facilitator/intermediary between you and the Provider. We do not practise medicine, do not employ the doctors listed on the Platform, and are not a party to the medical consultation, diagnosis, treatment, or any commercial transaction between you and a Provider.
We are not responsible for the accuracy of a Provider’s listed specialisation, availability, fees, or for the quality, safety, or outcome of any consultation or treatment. Any dispute regarding the medical service itself must be raised directly with the Provider.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
You must be at least 18 years of age, or be using the Platform under the supervision of a parent/guardian, to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information (including your name and phone number) and to keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any OTP or login credential associated with your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
We may suspend or terminate an account that provides false information, is used fraudulently, or is used to abuse, threaten, or repeatedly miss confirmed appointments without notice.
4. Booking, Tokens & Confirmation
A booking made through the Platform is a request to the Provider and is confirmed only once the Provider (or their staff) accepts it; the Platform may show a booking as “Pending” until that confirmation happens. Token numbers, estimated consultation times, and queue positions shown on the Platform are good-faith estimates provided by or on behalf of the Provider and may change due to walk-ins, emergencies, or the Provider’s own scheduling — they are not a guarantee of an exact consultation time.
5. Fees & Payments
Consultation and service fees are set by the Provider, not by The Right Hand. Where payment is collected online through the Platform, it is processed via our payment-gateway partner in Indian Rupees (INR) only, and the funds are settled to the Provider, less any applicable platform fee agreed with the Provider. You are responsible for any taxes applicable to the transaction.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation by you, a no-show, or cancellation by the Provider are each handled differently. The full process, timelines, and any applicable deductions are set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Platform to:
- Provide false identity, medical, or contact information;
- Post or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes another person’s rights;
- Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Platform or another user’s data;
- Harass, abuse, or threaten any Provider, staff, or other user.
8. Communication Consent
By using the Platform and booking an appointment, you agree that The Right Hand may contact you by SMS, WhatsApp, email, or voice call to confirm bookings, assign or update tokens, send reminders, and provide customer support. You also consent to the Provider you’ve booked with contacting you directly to confirm or coordinate your appointment. These communications are strictly limited to appointment- and service-related purposes.
9. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its name, logo, design, and software, is the property of The Right Hand and is protected under applicable Indian intellectual-property law. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Right Hand is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from (a) a Provider’s medical advice, treatment, or conduct, (b) delays, cancellations, or scheduling changes made by a Provider, or (c) any dispute between you and a Provider. Our total liability under these Terms, where it does arise, is limited to the platform fee (if any) actually paid by you for the specific booking giving rise to the claim.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold The Right Hand harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Platform.
12. Grievance Redressal
If you have a complaint about the Platform itself (not the medical service of a Provider), you may reach our Grievance Officer by writing to growth@therighthand.in. We will acknowledge and work to resolve your complaint within a reasonable time in accordance with applicable law.
13. Amendments
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Material changes will be notified on the Platform with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
